FOX + BUDGIE

Once upon a time in a not so far, far away forest there was a nerdy little budgie sitting in a big ol’ tree daydreaming of art and tea. In the same forest there was a clever fox who had just returned from a wild journey to the city who was also dreaming of art and tea. Frolicking at a fantastic forest feast they stumbled upon one another in the wise old owl’s pottery shed. Quickly it was discovered that, yes!, they love birthday party feasts, but also art and tea! Fast friends were made! It was evident that they were to pursue a collaboration of collage, applique, mixed media, painting, stationary and fabric art – all the shared obsessions. The conversations that unfolded and continue to this day have sprung forth one heck of an art jam!! Together with wit and creative tenacity they have launched “The Fox and Budgie Project”. Enjoy.

Your thoughts on the Arts
What the Arts mean in my life/To my company?
“The stars, the dark depths of the space beyond, and the light streaming from the sun, speak to us; the earth the waves and winds, the twittering of birds and the glances of animals, speak to us.” -Harry Smith (see bio)

How are we involved in the arts in the Valley?
We love art and live in the Valley. (see bio….)
