Ralph Barrat

Ralph Barrat is a jazz singer and piano player from the Comox Valley. Currently performing around the Island at weddings, restaurants, and seniors centres as a soloist or in a duo, he can also be found in many jazz groups such as the Ralph Barrat Group, Sax & Violins!, and the Georgia Straight Big Band. And of course the everlasting bluegrass group – RNR.

Formerly of Jazztet and the Jenn Forsland Group, Ralph and his trio spent 3 months of 2011 playing in Mexico improving their skills and tans. Among his many influences are singer/keyboardists Nat King Cole, Harry Connick Jr, Mose Allsion and piano players Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans and many more. Some folks think I sound like Bublé, Baker, and Sinatra all rolled into one. I’ll take that as a compliment!
