Elevate Youth Music – Union Street Grill 6:30-9:30: Emerging artists take the stage.

Underground Dance Showcase – Lower Elks 7:30-10: A diverse showcase of eclectic dance practice from across the Comox Valley.

SOONER OR LATER – Exhibition Opening Event 7-9 Comox Valley Art Gallery: Community exhibit on contemporary self-portraiture.

Bacon SLAM Poetry event – Imperial Square 7-9: Poets from near and far compete in real time for fame and a lb of Bacon! DJ Eliazar and special guests.

Day and Night Street Festival: All Over! 10 am till 12 midnight. Poetry, music, Alley-oke, projections, aerials, workshops, community groups, pop parks, theatre antics, circus, dance, chalk art, messy fun!

Photopia – Elevate’s Annual Community Photography Exhibition 10 am till 4 pm. Courtenay Library

WordPlay|Kids Writing Workshops/Playshop: 11:00- 12:30 at Literalley in Simms Alley

Elevate Activist Camp: 2 pm in Literalley in Simms Alley. Kids rally around a cause, create signs and chants and bring it all to the Commons at 4 pm.

Casual Living –  A Hip Hop Experience: 2 pm Simms Alley. Interactive hip hop installation, beat machines, effects pedals and microphones ready to engage in creating real time contemporary hip hop sounds. The three facilitators create music with willing participants.

Duncan Commons Carnival: 4 pm on the Commons. 7 Story Circus, CV Latin Percussion, Pop Up Choir Performance, Poets and more! Join the Parade. Meet behind Union Street Grill at 3:15 in your craziest costumes.

Elevate Fiery Finale9 pm Duncan Ave Commons K’omok’s First Nations Kumugwe Cultural Group, NOVA Fire Spun Arts and Flying Amanita Circus light up the streets with a magical finale. Old Growth dance party to follow
